A Quiet Monday Afternoon

Mid-Day Call

So I just got done talkin to a couple of my high-school friends in San Diego, whom I'll be visiting next month. It started out as an IM convo, but my friend kept havin probs with her 'puter, so I just called (using my calling card). I usually don't make personal calls from work (much less discreet than IM'ing), but it's pretty slow this afternoon... plus she works evenings and weekends, and it's kind if difficult to coordinate a good time to talk with her.

Then our other friend got to her place, so we were all able to talk about a gameplan together. It's gonna be a pretty busy trip. I don't think I've ever had a relaxed visit back home... lol On top of our 3-day trip to Santa Maria for tat work, we're also gonna try to fit in a couple of days at Disneyland and Sea World, an evening visiting the downtown Haunted Houses (I'll be there during Halloween)... not to mention various and sundry other people I want to visit while I'm there. And any or all activities are to include anywhere from 4 to 7 children!

It should prove rather exhausting, but loads of fun! I always give myself one recovery-day after I get back from my vacations, before I have to get back to work. And I'm thinkin I'm gonna need it!

I'll be sure to write about the peeps I'll be seeing next month, sometime before I fly out. Just not right now. I'm kinda talked out today. (And that takes a lot!)

Smaller Plans

But I did want to make note that my digital camera arrived today... woo-hoo! I'll have fun pokin around and playin with it tonight... after I get home from watchin a movie at my folk's place. Mom's signed up with Netflix, and I'm usually interested in the movies she gets. Tonight it will be "The Whole 10 Yards"... sequel to "The Whole 9 Yards". I've heard it's not as cute as the first, but I'm still interested in seeing it.

I also want to try to call my IHOP buddy again to see how she and her hubby are doin. I may check in here tonight if I have anything new to add.
