New Stuff

New Furnace Today?

So today's a day of new things and forward progress. Got a note on my door yesterday sayin the new furnaces would be installed between Wednesday (today) and Monday, so I assume the order arrived. I saw a maintenance van over in the neighboring complex parking lot this morning, so today may be the day. I moved the last hold-outs out of the utility room (the cat pan and a wooden platform I made when I first moved in to 1) cover up the disgusting drain so the cat won’t make herself sick poking around in it and 2) create a flat storage surface over the pipes) and left multiple notes to be careful of the cat and to PLEASE re-close the utility room door when they are done, since el drano disgusto is glaringly available for closer feline inspection. I’m probly gonna have to vacuum when I get home, as it is, since I don’t doubt they’ll track all that crap through the apartment on their way through… *sigh*

Maximum Productivity

My morning here at work has mostly been spent poking around all of my options on the new ‘puter they installed yesterday while I was gone… pretty nice stuff, actually. The transition went very smoothly, and I have very little to follow up on with the IT peeps. Was gonna go out to lunch with Mom today since I was home sick yesterday and missed our usual lunchdate, but she was pretty busy so we’re gonna go tomorrow .

I have otherwise also been playin around online… reinstalling my yahoo and trillion messengers, plus putting a sitemeter on the blog... cool stuff. Now I can know for certain how many peeps could give a rat’s ass about a year in the life of Ms. Pukesalot’s Mom. *snicker*

Tear Down This Wall!

Looks like Construction Services finally made it over here (to my department). They’re startin work now to knock out the wall between the main office area and a side room… which will open up the main office so I can move into my own space next week. The Office Manager thinks possibly next Tuesday… woo-hoo! Right now, they’re playin with the electrical… poppin the lights on and off and dropping us into periodic darkness. One of the PM’s just came by joking that we look like we’re closed. We were like… “okay!” One should be careful of what one says around here… lol

Amway, I DO have a few meetings to put together, so I suppose playtime is over. I’d best get to work during my intermittent spates of light. :)
