Quote of the Week

Yeah, I've been somewhat remiss in my Pics and Quotes of the Week since I got back. But I haven't really had anything to contribute. I'll have plenty of pics to post of my trip once I sit down to download and edit them.

However, today I DO at least have a quote... which is actually a series of exchanges between myself and Pop today at lunch. (He and Mom and I went to Breadbasket today.)

Me, in response to the guy taking my order who asked what I wanted to drink: "2% milk, please"
Pop: Did you just say "2 chipmunks"?
Me: Did you just say "2 chickens"?
Mom, standing between us, sighing and rolling her eyes hugely: "Only between 2 deaf people can 2% milk become 2 chickens!"

Now, in our defense, the place WAS a bit chattery... but still. She's right. Neither Pop nor myself can ever hear correctly. And we both have the Navy to thank for our hearing loss... him as a sonar tech, and me on the airfield. Mom swears we deserve each other... lol
