Shell Shock

So I'm back. I tried... I really tried to get online to blog some while I was in San Diego. Unfortunately, the few times I found to sit down in front of the computer, there was no concentrating at all... what with exuberant children, and visitors, and planning with H.N.

Fortunately, however, I managed to jot down a decent outline of activities throughout the week... either in a Word document which I merely e-mailed to myself to flesh out when I got back to my peaceful and quiet and unbusy home, or in my li'l notebook.

I'd originally thought today would be a good day for that, being my first day back before I have to go back to work. But three things kind of put kinks in those thoughts: 1) my brain is still not in very good writing order, 2) my day has so far been consumed with unpacking, going through two weeks of mail, paying the rest of my bills I didn't catch before I left, documenting all of my purchases and reworking my finances to plan for a move, and 3) Ms. Pukesalot has been incredibly needy. Understandably so, of course.

I still have a LOT to do... laundry, filing, grocery shopping, water the plants, catch up on the shows I taped, organize pics to send to peeps, etc. but I think most of that can wait for the weekend. As I get my notes cleaned up and my pics processed, I'll backdate posts to account for each day of my trip. I'm not gonna push myself on it... it'll get done when it gets done. I also need to catch up with friends I haven't talked to for a few weeks, but today I need my peace and quiet... LOTS of good anti-social time. :)

For now, I'm off to take a shower and coordinate with the folks regarding when we’re gonna pick up Gram and go vote. It’s become kind of a family thing. :)

Happy Election Day!
